I’m passionate about spending time with my family, especially my two wonderful granddaughters. I also enjoy crocheting, gardening, hiking, and cooking. Life is always lively with my three grown children, two granddaughters, and a dog that keeps me busy.

With a Bachelor’s in Education from Florida Atlantic University, a Master’s from Walden University, and a Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University, I’ve dedicated over 20 years to teaching elementary students and 10 years to middle schoolers. Growing up, education was always close to my heart—my mother was a teacher and principal in Cuba, instilling in me a lifelong commitment to learning. I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was 8 years old. I love that I have the opportunity to continue to do what I am most passionate about, teaching young minds.

Originally from Louisiana and California, I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in middle school, which I still consider my home base. I’ve been in Georgia since 2003 and retired from public education in June 2024. Joining Learnwell has been a wonderful opportunity to continue doing what I love—helping students grow and partnering with parents in their educational journey. It’s truly a joy to be part of such a supportive community!
