I am thrilled to join the Learnwell family this year as the Monday/Wednesday first and second grade class teacher.
I grew up in Alabama and attended the University of Alabama where I earned my degree in early childhood/elementary education. I have taught in pre-k through seventh grade classrooms over the years in public, private and homeschool settings and I have homeschooled my three children for the last nineteen years as well. I am very passionate about education, and I love creating classrooms where students are engaged and excited. I believe in making learning both fun and purposeful, ensuring that each child can connect with the material in a meaningful way.
I have been married to my husband Shane for nearly 30 years, and we have three children. Our oldest is married and he and our daughter-in-law live in the Denver area. Our daughter lives and works in Boston and our youngest son is still at home and is attending Learnwell this year. We truly feel God has led us to this community and are eager to see what great things He has in store.
