Spring ’23
We’re excited to offer the following Friday morning electives for students in grades K-8 at Learnwell.
- Dates: January 20-April 21 with February 24 and April 7 off for winter and spring break
- Small classes: between 4 and 10 students in each class
- Dedicated teachers: highly experienced teachers from the Learnwell community, as well as our professional video production, music, and drama partners teach these classes
- Tuition for students enrolled in 3 classes will be discounted 10%; tuition for students enrolled in 4 classes will be discounted 15%
- Learnwell families receive a 20% discount and should directly register at a different link.

Note: If students are enrolled in more than one class, the classes must be back-to-back in the schedule.
Class Descriptions
Classes for ages 4-5
(entering kindergarten next year)
Getting Ready for Kindergarten (9:00-10:45)
Does your child have all of the skills needed for kindergarten success? Or perhaps you’re concerned about your preschooler acclimating to kindergarten after the last few bumpy years. Join our highly-experienced kindergarten teacher, who will help your child learn that school is FUN while working on basic letters, numbers, and more!
Drama (10:50-11:40)
Storybook Adventures: Explore creative dramatics through story time, drama games, physical and vocal warmups, imaginative play, music, and more!
Rhythm Essentials (11:45-12:35)
Let’s learn about the basics of music together! Rhythm Essentials utilizes both modern and time-tested techniques with games, songs, and visuals to create a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. This highly interactive class is designed to build a strong foundation for lifelong lovers of music!
Classes for grades K-2
PE (9:00-9:50)
This fun class will provide your child with plenty of opportunities to stay active while practicing running, throwing, catching, stretching, jumping and more. Our goal is for your child to learn that moving our bodies can be fun!
Art (9:55-10:45)
This class will focus on the elements of art through exploring a variety of artists, art processes, and basic art media. Students will apply the elements of art to create their very own creative masterpieces through painting, drawing, collage, sculpture and printmaking.
Rhythm Essentials (10:50-11:40)
Let’s learn about the basics of music together! Rhythm Essentials utilizes both modern and time-tested techniques with games, songs, and visuals to create a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. This highly interactive class is designed to build a strong foundation for lifelong lovers of music!

2D Animation (11:45-12:35)
This 2D traditional animation drawing class teaches students to draw with light boards and paper by hand. They will draw animals, people and environments. Students will be taught to use Clip Studio Paint for those students who optionally want to paint their animation drawings in a software program. Students will learn about the 12 principles of animation, animation variation types, color theory, and how to draw animation techniques. This is a cartoon animation (not anime) drawing class.
Classes for grades 6-8
Video Storytelling (9:00-9:50)
Students will learn video storytelling fundamentals and collaborate to produce short documentary-style testimonies of faith and hope. Students will learn the basics of directing, videography, audio recording, lighting, and editing. Mobile phones as well as mirrorless DSLR cameras will be used. As students learn together, they will have opportunities to grow in their critical thinking, servant leadership, empathetic communication, and collaboration skills.

- Stretching – to maintain flexibility
- Cardio – to maintain a healthy heart rate
- Strength Training – to learn proper form and giving students the tools/exercises they can implement at home to build strength
Class Fees

Class fees may be paid in full now OR half now and half in January.
