2022-2023 Learnwell Calendar
Our 2023-2024 school year begins on Monday, August 14, 2023. On the calendar below, each school week is numbered, starting with a new week each Monday.
Our K-8 students learn at home on Mondays and Wednesdays, and they come to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (High school students have a slightly different schedule in which they come to Learnwell for an additional half-day on Wednesdays.) Fridays are for electives, a catch-up day, or an off day.
Benefits of the Learnwell Calendar:
- Extra Breaks
One of the most distinctive features of our school calendar is that we provide five weeks of school breaks. The model of our hybrid school means that students are learning at all times, whether at home, on a break, or in school. So they can afford to have some additional scheduled breaks.
- Time for Travel
Families tell us this is one of their favorite aspects of Learnwell’s flexible model. They can travel at non-traditional times throughout the year, and they know that about every eight weeks their kids will get some time off.
- Events to Help Families Connect
We offer a variety of activities throughout the school year: dances, after-school activities, and extracurricular opportunities to learn and grow. Some of our events include a middle school Barn Dance in the fall, a spring Daddy Daughter Dance, a winter Mother Son Night, spring and fall Family Fun Nights, an end-of-the-year Field Day and family cookout, and a few service opportunities. All of our events are optional, but they provide a platform through which our students and families can connect outside of a traditional classroom setting.
