8th Grade/High School Social Studies Teacher
We are in search of an 8th grade/high school social studies teacher for Learnwell Collective.
This Learnwell teacher will teach middle/high school social studies classes and will lead in the development of a new middle/high school social studies program for on-campus homeschool hybrid students. This teacher will also provide guidance related to work and study skills and discipleship in the context of their class and interactions with students.

Responsibilities:
- Develop for each class lesson plans for the two-day-a-week North Georgia hybrid model in which students are in the classroom two days a week and working at home two days a week.
- Provide meaningful learning experiences in social studies on campus two days per week that reflect highly effective pedagogy and meet the learning objectives of Learnwell.
- Send email encouragement, reminders, and/or clarifications to parents regularly.
- Respond to parent and student emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours Monday-Friday).
- Meet with the principal or the entire faculty once per month for collaboration and encouragement.
- Collaborate with the middle/high school curriculum team to offer social studies-specific feedback related to content and activities.
- Attend most community-wide events offered to families.
- Provide supervision over lunch and/or student breaks on rotation with other teachers.
- Provide her/his own computer as needed to fulfill these responsibilities.

High School Science Teacher
We are in search of a high school science teacher for Learnwell Collective for the 2023-2024 school year.
This Learnwell teacher will teach high school science classes and will lead in the development of a new high school science program for on-campus homeschool hybrid students. This teacher will also provide guidance related to work and study skills and discipleship in the context of their class and interactions with students.
In the 2023-2024 school, this teacher will teach Biology. As Learnwell grows a grade each year, Chemistry will be added in 2024-2025 and Environmental Science will be added in 2025-2026.

Community Coordinator
We are in search of a Community Coordinator for Learnwell Collective. This person will serve as the touch point for all community events at Learnwell, representing events on the leadership team and coordinating tasks and volunteers in planning, implementing, and evaluating Learnwell’s community events.
The Community Coordinator will be able to proficiently perform the following:
- Plan schoolwide, middle school, and high school events
- Coordinate parent volunteers
- Create systems for engaging parents at the beginning of the year into roles that they’re skilled in as volunteers (Parent Superpower Survey or some other system that works well for this)
- Communicate regularly with parent volunteers when they have an event coming up. This includes managing expectations, helping them think through possible pitfalls of idea generation, and recognizing needs that they may not be aware of, especially when events are for multiple grade levels, budget, etc.
- Meeting with volunteers to help them understand the “ethos” of Learnwell events and supply them with materials to help them plan and evaluate after the event is over
- Maintain event expenses to coincide with budgets
- Coordinate parent volunteers
- Plan and coordinate field trips well in advance and communicate with the organizations to make sure they have what they need.
- Manage event and field trip sign-ups and monitor feedback from parents
- Update communications director regularly and work together to brainstorm how best to communicate with parents about event needs, field trips, payments, etc.
- When parent volunteers aren’t doing so, organize, purchase, and/or make event supplies and make sure they are maintained and put back in storage for the next year
- Be willing to jump in and pick up slack as needed for an event.
- Attend meetings pertinent to event planning
- Participate in Discover Learnwell events to speak about authentic community as a value

Director of Extracurricular Programs
We are in search of a Director of Extracurricular Programs for Learnwell Collective. This person will lead and develop Learnwell offerings for after-school, Friday, and summer programs.
The Director of Extracurricular Programs will be able to proficiently perform the following:
Lead in the:
- Learnwell Friday electives day program
- After-school clubs and electives offerings
- Summer camps at Learnwell
By:
- Assessing the needs and desires for classes within the Learnwell community and the local community
- Identifying teachers needed
- Developing a schedule
- Helping to implement any marketing activities
- Ensuring that all HR details are completed for electives staff
- Acting as the director on-site during programs
- Serving on the Learnwell leadership team, leading in this in conjunction with other Learnwell activities

Executive Assistant
We are in search of an Executive Assistant for the Principal of Learnwell. This Executive Assistant will help the Principal manage the administrative tasks related to her role at Learnwell, as well as tasks related to other professional and personal roles, so that she can serve the Learnwell community with her very best.
The ideal executive assistant will be able to proficiently perform the following:
- Manage the Principal’s email for Learnwell, PACE, and personally
- Prioritize emails to which the Principal needs to respond
- Answer emails (either from you or from the Principal) as much as possible
- Manage the Principal’s calendar wholistically
- Own the Principal’s calendar and schedule appointments according to the boundaries you and she develop
- Protect the Principal’s time so that she can complete the tasks that only she can do
- Schedule regular appointments as needed
- Proficiently able to manage technological tasks such as creating forms, formatting documents, and more
- Conduct online research, with an ability to narrow down choices based on the criteria given
- Communicate with outside vendors and partners with promptness and professionalism
- Assist the Principal with minor bookkeeping related to budget approvals
