Passage (6th and 7th grade)
How it works:
- In 6th and 7th grades, we’ll build on the solid foundation laid in the elementary grades. As our children grow, Learnwell’s program facilitates a beautiful hand-off of a child’s education from parents to the students themselves. In 6th and 7th grade, the hand-off begins.
- Similar to our elementary program, 6th and 7th grade students will attend Learnwell two days a week and homeschool with their parents at home two days a week. Your teacher, who is a grade-level expert, will write your lesson plans for those at-home days.
- Very intentionally, our 6th and 7th grade students will begin to assume more responsibility for their schoolwork, using tools such as Google classroom. Increasingly, our teachers will provide opportunities for the students to begin assuming the responsibility for their schoolwork.
- Over time, students will need to rely on their parents less and less as together we teach them to find, use, and practice new skills and learning.

At-Home Days (Mondays and Wednesdays)
You’ll log into your myLearnwell portal, where you will find the lesson plan for the week, as well as any supplementary materials you’ll need.
You’ll also find videos from your teacher, especially when they want to provide extra support for you in what you’ll be teaching your child that week.
Your middle schooler will experience an increasing amount of independence as gradually, they find more and more of their assignments in Google classroom. In partnership, you and their teachers will work with them to shoulder this responsibility.
Days on Campus (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
You’ll bring your middle schooler to campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They’ll have the opportunity to continue learning new skills alongside their peers and under the highly-qualified and experienced guidance of their teacher.
In the spring before your student enrolls, we’ll send you a linked list of the curriculum materials you’ll need. Our team of experienced educators has selected the best of parent-friendly homeschool curriculum for you, and you’ll gather all of the materials you’ll need before school begins in August.
