I am a Georgia native, and graduated from Fellowship Christian High School in Roswell and then Toccoa Falls College with a BS in Counseling/Psychology. I grew up riding horses and then breeding and training Welsh ponies. I was homeschooled from 6th-9th grade and LOVED the freedom and flexibility it provided, not only for my learning style, but for more opportunities to work with our ponies. I taught Pre-K for 5 years before beginning our family. I always knew homeschooling would be our family’s educational path and have done a mix of hybrid and homeschooling for the past 9 years. I love hands-on, project based learning where we include nature or being outside while nurturing our hearts.

I have been married to Matt for almost 20 years and we have two kids; Olivia and Finn, who are also at Learnwell. I love all things nature and animals, especially horses and goats! We have a small piece of paradise in Hickory Flat where we have worked hard together to make it all that we need it to be. We have a mini pony, two goats, 5 chickens, 2 dogs and a cat. I wholly believe in the healing power of nature, the outdoors and animals. I am an avid reader, love to go running, hiking and planning fun adventures for our family. Fall is my most favorite time of the year, with Christmas being a close second.

We have loved discovering the rich authentic community within our Learnwell Family. We feel that God led us here for a special purpose as we experience intentional education with strong ties to our emotional, mental and spiritual health while we work to figure out who we are as people, students and our unique learning styles.
